Roland SP 300 and Windows 7

We run a SP300 and are really happy with our machine.

We had to change our shop layout to increase our production area. In the process we moved the SP 300 and reconnected the SP 300 to the production computer. To my horror Versaworks showed that the machine was not connected even though the USB cable was in. I swapped cables with the cutter, ran the found new hardware as the there was no driver and even did a system restore. None of this worked of course.

My Tip.

 Once the SP300 is setup on Windows 7 permanently mark the USB port as that USB port is assigned to the printer and will only work on that USB port.
