A Digital Printing Network

I just printed full color prints for a customer on the SGP2 paper and was wondering how to price them. Can anyone help me out on this? They are various sizes with lots of color.

Here is what I do First figure the sq fottage if you have a piece say 30"x20" thats a 3'x2' thats 6 sq feet always go to the highest figure you have to charge for the waste figure all your sq footage and then price it for retail depending on the client and my cost its about 12 a sq ft your price might be higher or lower it depends on your area your cost and your time dont forget to charge for you time.

Its not too far off. I would look at the volume you expect to do for them and if it is high, come down on the price. For our wholesale customers we charge $7 a square foot. the 20" by 30" is 4.2 square ft so it would run $29.40 and the 18" by 20" is 2.5 square feet coming in at $17.50. It sounds like they are getting wholesale pricing to me!

Thanks for your help. The said they got a price somewhere else that for a 16"x20 or a 18"x20 would be $18 and a 20"x30" would be $30. Does this sound right to you? By the way thanks for your help.

I would post this in the forum section rather than the blog to get more people to see it. At our shop we price poster paper at $10 a square foot retail. It does not matter how many colors etc are on it, just simply $10 a square foot.

I hope this helps!
