A Digital Printing Network

In our ongoing saga our next question is:

We were finally about to cut but there is a white edge of the media on PARTS of the letters but not around all of the letters.  I set the contour the same around everything.  Can anyone help me understand why the media would show around only some of the letter?  Is the offset of the blade a problem?  It was set at 250 but I see the range is from .01 and up.

Thanks in advance.

You probably will need to re-align your blade settings manually on the printer and perform the routine checks. I had this done by my technician. I had the same issues but it is LONG gone. If you're using corel, try getting use to the contour icon which helps trace contours around your artwork. It also saves you time and money spent on tracing contours around artworks.

You must correct misalignment for print and cut.,

You will get much more interaction on this if you post it in the forums section. The blogs do not get seen as much.

To answer your question we would need to see some photos of what you are describing and the file you are using as well. If I read what you are saying, it is not the file or offset that is the issue, but rather that you need a bleed zone around your designs to account for slight variances in cut accuracy. I will watch for your photo and file.
