The October class was by far our biggest class ever. We had almost 20 attendees with a few familiar faces coming back to visit and learn. We had Rich Cenami with his crew and Paul and Mindy also. Both shops were at our first ever (informal) VersaCAMM training class! A few things have changed since then and I think all of them were impressed with how everything has grown. It was great having our friends back again. The day started off with the usual mix of graphics basics and pricing overviews. We moved quickly into Corel Draw basics and how to setup cutlines for many different projects. Lunch showed up right on time so we took a little time to eat and share info between all of the shops attending. As always, I think that I learn just as much from all of the attendees about differnt ways to get all of the projects done. It is wonderful to see all of the networking going on!

After lunch the class divided into groups with one group going over heat pressing of all the different Imprintables materials and application and the other group performing machine maintenance. Everyone got a chance to both make a t-shirt with all of the materials and to go over all of the maintenance and care on the VersaCAMMs. The afternoon went very smooth and I could not have done it without Jen and Jess helping out on the heat presses. Hats off to you ladies! We finished the day off with some questions and answers. A bunch of us met up that night at Macaroni Grill to share some food and stories from each others shops. It is always great to hear all of the ideas from everybody and even better network!
The second day started with a discussion on color management and how to get the best out of your printer and prints. We progressed into many different hands on projects including canvas prints, reverse window graphics, wall graphic material, magnets and lamination. I had recently acquired a Royal Sovereign 55 inch laminator and must say that it is the cats meow! What a easy to use machine and the lamination comes out beautifully! I think everyone was impressed with both the quality and the ease of use. With all of the projects completed, we all spent a while going over any questions and trying out a few different ideas from the students. I know I always say that each class was the best yet, but this one really was! Everyone meshed really well and the projects went very smoothly. I could not have done it without all of the help I received. A few special thanks go out to: Jen of course, Imprintables Warehouse for providing all of the materials, Michelle from Imprintables for answering all of those questions, and last but not least to Claude, "Jean Cluade Van VersaCamm" for video taping parts of the class for future videos. Thanks to all! Below are some pictures from the class. I hope to see all of you back for a future refresher class!!
