Colorip 2.2 Cutting off my letters

I just purchased a used SP-300. It came with a program called Colorip. I figured out most of it but am stumped at one thing. When trying to cut vinyl it keeps cutting off the last letter and cutting a line through the first one. I have loaded a 24" roll of black vinyl. In set up it shows the size of the letters is 21.4. on the printer the width of the vinyl is 23.2. That seems like it should fit fine, but it keeps cutting off the end of the last letter. If you click on Print Queue, Layout,…

Need help with Roland Versacamm SP-300

I just purchased a used SP-300. When they ran it for me it appeared to be working just fine. When I got it to my. shop and fired it up it made one good print, but was set to draft. I changed the setting to high quality and tried the same print and that is when the

the blue stopped working. I have cleaned it every way possible (multiple times and it still won't print dark. I contacted Roland and they sent me a test to print. The red and yellow are fine. he black looks brown and the…

Shoud we have a specific request to have a picture printed to inspect…

Versacamm sp540i running on 220v

Is anyone running a versacamm requiring 220v in the US? I guess possibly using a step up transformer, is this even possible?

Thanks for your advice.

Adventures in sublimation

I have looking into sublimation over the past few weeks and have not been completly convinced that it will work for me. Fact is it just can't do as much as the versacamm. When I think about it, almost all of the garments we do are colored and not white. Since sublimation cannot do white on a light color it is at a huge disadvantage. It looks like the few light colors I can sublimate on would have to be printed with dark colors. I will be exploring more options with.sublimation to see what else… Continue

Visual perception of white

I wanted to share something that I never noticed before about the color white printed using RVW-BK01A (a Roland VersaWorks white) on our SP-540i (a CMYK machine).  I had a design with white in it that I printed it on Quick Print.  I printed some of white using RVW-BK01A and other parts without it, in other words, I let the Quick Print be the white color.  The RVW-BK01A white printed with a little black ink in it and, much to my surprise, it looked whiter than the white of the Quick Print,…

used 300v or new bn-20

We have a budget of about 9K and can't decide between a used 300V or a new BN-20. Our work is mainly focused on apparel and our camm 1 has served us well for many years. We would appreciate your advice. Thanks
