Ensure your color management is the same but more important - if you are using Roland's palette ensue you have the spot color boxes check in versaworks under the file format tab. Without that your spot colors are not changing to process colors.

If machine brought new then you should still have 25 in a small yellow container.

Bad eps files or those too large either. So open the file and try re-exporting it. You never said the design program or the size of the file. You do not have to bring the file in at print size you can reduce it, BUT maintain the ratio. Also if you…

The two machines are totally different in how they move along the carrier. I would tell you that I have not heard of this problem or has it been discussed in the training I have attended. I will re-iterate to ensure you have all of your rollers in…

Daniel that is abnormally normal, all but the high pitch squealing noise. When it happens just power down (you can hold the front button or just turn off the main power and power back up). Can you identify where the squealing is coming from? This…

I believe your machine needs to be calibrated and your bi-directional is probablly off too. As for profile, try GCVP and see if that one works for you. Also print in uni-direction. Look in the video section for how to load in profiles - look in the…

Connor it also helps if we are provided a test print and you have the print oriented as it came out of the machine. The last part is not a chop buster but to evaluate whether your banding is horizontal or vertical. Those causes are different. Once…

Check your cuts - did you do a test cut. I believe you cut too deep into the carry and now your mask is thinking you want to bring the carrier along for the ride. Of course the last part is my dry humor - do a test cut and ensure you are not going…

Busy all day but - if  you are just cutting profile - you will need a cutting profile - so any of the generic or general ones will help you - Select near the top. You will not need any heat and heat sometimes make it worst. So on the printer…

Stephanie sorry to hear you are selling your machine. It was a pleasure visiting you in Iowa. Until it is sold remember to keep it plugged in until sold. It might not hurt to put on a roll of the free stuff and once a week do a test print from the…

Steve is the video person and I am sure he probably video me or taken stills of me doing it. We have a training class coming up in a few weeks. If there are none or I cannot find one - I will see what we can do to make that happen. I am camera shy…

John I am glad you are still following directions. The bad thing I did not do everyone's install or they have not attended the class to see the correct procedure. As stated, if you have major cleaning on machine and no internal parts go with…

I can't answer that - I know Roland and its dealers sell Roland Parts officially. I know others sell comparable parts, but it is up to the user to make the determination. Using third party parts will void your second year warranty - which is…

Daniel I make it a point never to point out wrong or bad comments on this forum. What I do is offer counter information and let folks draw their own conclusion. It is so hard to make my point against ghost, pronouns, etc when my posts are identified…

Versacamm Issues

Posted on November 28, 2009 at 11:17am 5 Comments

Greetings all and I will check with Roland next week, but in the meantime....... Have anyone had issues with jobs being dropped after partial printing. I have used 3 different systems all resulting in the same thing - jobs partial printing at various points. I have used different size files and types of jobs and media all with the same results. I am running the latest firmware and versaworks versions. I have restarted the machines to include mainpower switch. I have also went from wireless to… Continue

Thanks Irving .I really appreciate your courtesy . I am a VersaCamm owner  and since the first day I received it started having problems trying to make it run . It was like 4 years ago  when there wasn't much technical information on the net and Roland doesn't help to much unless you have to pay big bucks But now things seems to be different and more promising regarding servicing your own machine

Thank you

Marco

Hi Irving... the only time I've had print jobs quit before completion was when my laptop was set up for auto updates and would restart to activate the updates.  Once I figured out what was happening, I changed my computer's settings for updates to be manually initiated, not automatically updated.  I haven't read the others' posts, so maybe somebody has already stated this.

Thank you for the welcome Irving. I would like to learn more about flocking embroidery, particularly on jeans and jackets. Can you suggest resources and do you have more pictures of your phenominal work?
