"Thanks Irving, I spoke to the seller today and he is trying to blame shipping but I fully inspected package before I signed for it and it was perfect, no signs of it getting a bang or a fall and to be fair to the guy it was really well packed up."

cx-24 wont power on!!

Hi guys,I just bought a cx-24 (used) but in excellent condition other than it wont power up. The seller gauranteed it was in perfect working condition when it left his place, I bought it on line from a fairly reputable seller. anyway I took off the covers to ensure there were no loose connections after being shipped to me. I took off the front cover and disconnected the two ribbon connectors at the back of the lcd display and control panel and discovered that it will power on when the larger…See More

Roland cm 24 camm 1

Hi Guys,Could anyone tell me if the cm 24 camm1 have a stepper or servo motor. I have mine since 1997/98  and i dont know how long servo motors are around, I'm asking because I read a lot of stuff about servo motors being so much better which I don't dispute but in all the years I have my cm I have never had one single problem with it so would just like to know whats driving it. I have tried looking it up but can't find anything on it maybe because the machine is so old.See More

"The machines ending in V are wire guided. The models after are belt driven. The wire loses tension over time and must be reset with a gauge. The symptoms you are mentioning are all indicators of loose wire tension."
