Sigh... another issue with the VS-540 today.It seems that the printer doesn't want to print metallics anymore. I've selected an MT profile and chosen just to print the metallic data. Upon RIP, the amount of ink shows as 0.00mL. When I go to print, it just feeds the media out of the printer without laying any ink down.There is plenty of metallic in the cap top, so it's not blocked (did a powerful clean just in case).Running VersaWorks 4.8.0 and firmware 4.50.Anything I might have forgotten to…See More

New cap tops aren't as cheap in Australia as they are in the US (something like $90 each), but it's not the cap top that is clogging, it's the waste ink line on the left hand…"

What is the humidity in your shop? If it is too high it can cause more clogging. A new cap top is relatively cheap and should fix the issue."

Testing on a few tricky substrates (glass, acrylic as well as the usual Alupanel, foamcore and corflute. Should be a lot of fun. Looove new machines to play with."

i reguarly print on a roland or oki laser and cut from a graphtec which is the easy way round.
