I have seen over and over problems with people having excessive cleanings. The first thing people throw out for a solution is the old, you are running 3rd party inks. Well as it turns out if you have not updated your firmware. Ex: you are at 4.00 and the current is 4.8 for a VP-540, there was a change in ink chips / IC readers firmware that resulted in inconsistent IC reading with newer Authentic Roland Inks. "Still waiting on answers or suggestions from Roland, nothing yet. Dealer cannot get a response either. I have cranked up all the sleep times, etc. Helps a little but not much. Still at 100 ml in 36 hours with maybe 30 minutes of printing."
