Hi Marsha,

I don't know of anyone who has the media take-up system. I was told when I purchased my VC that it really wasn't necessary. I have found that it to be the case.

There are six different colors of ink available from Imprintables, but it looks like only four colors of ink are used in the machine. Please explain.

I'm not exactly sure why there is a light magenta and light cyan. I just use the CMYK.

From one of the posts, the adjustable head is only available on the 540. What is the adjustable head used for and how often? Is it worth the extra $?

The adjustable head is used when you want to print/cut thicker media, like magnetic sheeting. I have an SP300 so I don't have that capability. This may be agood question to post on the main forum. Perhaps those who own a 540 can tell you whether they make use to that feature.

I have been watching the webinars that greatgarmentgraphics host. They have mentioned screen print transfers from Transfer Express. Can these screen print transfers be printed on a versacamm?

No they can't Screen printed transfers are made with plastisol inks screen printed on a backing paper. Transfers made with the VC are made by printing Eco Solvent inks on a vinyl media.

After reviewing several of the photos, the printed vinyl appears very shiny. Which materials could be used that are not shiny?

This may be another good question for the main forum. I know this issue has been discussed before. In our shop, we basically use Quick Print and Solutions Opaque. IMO, both are not overly shiney.
