VP300i Cleaning On Every Print

We are printing posters on white glossy photo paper and our VP300i is running a clean during the printing of each poster.Using the white glossy photo paper profile, max density ink and normal quality. Last week I gave the machine a good cleaning- cap stations, around the print head and cleaned both wipers to stop this, it still continues. I will admit the wiper blade is due for a replacement, as it has the felt on the back.If we use a printable vinyl like quick print it does not do a clean…See More

VS 540 Issue

We are having an issue with our VS 540 not printing all the borders around an image. In the attached photo there should be two borders around the print. It completely prints the inside border, but the left side of the border is missing the length of the banner. It has been leaving one side of a border off all prints for a couple of weeks.I have cleaned the encoder strip twice with alcohol wipes. It appears we are loosing part of the border when I pull the file into versaworks, because it does…See More

Hi Larry... ask away! I just got my VS300 a week ago, but I've been cutting decals, signs for a while, that's why when I saw the sheeter in action I was thrilled. If you watch the video on their site it's just crazy easy, and it really works. I know nothing about laminating, that's why I went back to their site because Irv when he was installing the machine was impressed. Tomorrow I plan on ordering some laminating media so I can play. I hate to offer advice since everyone seems to have pretty strong feelings on cold vs. hot. I'm just hoping that since I already have it I can also use it for that. What I can tell you is that I masked a 3x 8 banner in less than 30 seconds so for me that is worth it compared to what I was attempting to do before. I did go to the site and they specifically did say cold lamination. I know I just don't have the money for anything else right now.
