Not sure whether they are still offering this, but Ordway Sign was offering $2.50 credit towards the purchase of one new Roland ink cartridge for each empty 220cc cartridge returned. For 440cc cartridges it was $5.00. $1.00…"
I think I have a different setup up from yours - see my response to Kathy below.
I have problems with banners too. Like you, I have to roll out a few feet of material to avoid head strikes. I normally babysit the job,…"
"Looks as though our machines are setup differently. I have an SP300V. Attached is a photo of the media flange that I have. They are not connected to the VC. My installer told me I really didn't need them, so I've…"
"Sorry, maybe I'm not using the correct name for it. I was talking about the round thingys you attach to both sides of the roll of vinyl before loading onto the rollers. I don't use mine, I just place the roll of vinyl directly…"
"Kathy, I have that problem with banner material, but not sign or apparel vinyl. I always thought it was because of the weight of the banner material, or the fact that the material sometimes sticks to itself. Just curious, do you use the…"
FWIW, here's the process we go through when loading a roll.
Before loading the roll of vinyl onto the machine, make sure the vinyl is tightly wound and the edges are even. Place the roll on the rollers and feed the vinyl through…"
I too own an SP300, and anything over 28" in height I contract out to Colorado Timberline. I just did a 3' x 6' full color banner, fully hemmed and grommeted. I paid $35.14, including shipping. I'm not…"
"Hi Lady Di,
I'm going to be printing a bunch of decals using this RTape VinylEfx Brushed Silver vinyl. Which Versacamm model do you have? I guess I'll start by using the GG/GSPVC profile and go from there.
"Adam, glad to hear your problem has been solved. So if I'm understanding your correctly, you're sublimating your design onto the cutout twill, then stitching the twill to your garment? Is this correct? Would you mind…"
Thankyou for the welcome Kevin. I am on a learning curve yet, so I check in everyday. Other peoples questions and comments are helpful too. I work at Seaglass Logo wear, so I will be at most of Steve's trainings...he does a great job!
I have some questions... First, I am missing a step... I want to print and cut on the ink using Solutions Metallic. After I print, I need to let the ink dry for 4 - 6 hours before cut. The VersaCAMM has a delay option for up to 60 minutes, so that's not going to work. Do I need to use registration marks? If so, how do I do this? I am using Illustrator CS4 and VersaWorks.
All the videos I have seen, skip this step. Is there a video showing the whole process?
