My understanding of the eco-sol max is its a transparent ink.  Given that fact has anyone printed on reflective white vinyl.  ANd if so were you able to preserve the reflectivity of the vinyl?Continue

Versacamm VS 640

If anyone is interested I am looking to sell this printer as is for $10,0000.  Right now the machine is experiencing severe drop out from the issues with metallic and white.  I have since replaced 2 capping stations.  I have had problems because of the metallic and white.  Should have gone with the dual CMYK. So as it stands right now, it probably needs to be converted to Dual CMYK.  So if there are any takers out there please give me a call: 609-744-3070.See More

"when you print on reflective vinyl do you then laminate it to protect it. I usually print on a clear material, laminate that then stick it onto the reflective, I find it works quite well and doesnt fade over time"

Wall Murals

Hey folks....any suggestions on tiling.  I have two large murals I am working on.  Have nothing printed yet.  Just getting to it now.  Read about the tiling, but am not sure of what I am looking at. I have to create 2 panels for both jobs and I have to overlap to register the print correctly.  Is Versaworks in the tiling dialogue idiot proof?    For Installation I'm thinking I Print and Cut, then trim excess by hand, then install and finish trim to existing parameters.  Would you do it that…See More

Printing a large wall mural for installation this Sunday.  Have some concerns.  I have done signs this size before, but installing on a flat surface where the work is below me and easy to facilitate.  Looking for some suggestions to install a nice clean trouble free job.  This is roughly 96" high X 86" wide and will be tiled. Thanks to all who can add some previous experience.Jim A.See More

"I print all the time on 3M 680C reflectives... the tranparency of the CMY colours allows the reflectivity of the media to still shine through, but the K is nearly opaque, so anywhere printed in black will not reflect anymore."

Mistake found after customer proof sign-off...what to do?

Posted on December 5, 2010 at 10:09am 11 Comments

I can't believe this! I had sent off a file for approval by the customer. This is the calendar job that I had been discussing earlier. Feeling like a real rookine here. Need some advice. This job was complicated to say the least, and I spent a lot of hours in front of the computer screen. After about the 42nd print I noticed a typo. What would you guys do with this??? In distress :-(

I am looking to start doing short runs on T's for some of the customers I currently have. New to this part of the business. Does anyone have some opinions on what to look for when purchasing?
