Currently using two print heads, but we were wondering if we have the capability of adding another so we can print white ink? Is that a thing sp-540i's can do? If not, why are there two extra…Continue

"If you do not know about aqueous, that is water base - if you do sublimation you can try it with that - it will soak right through what you have"

"I hadn't thought of that. I just saw that the roll we have is intended for aqueous ink printers. Thanks again!"

"Advice or things to think about: - is it made for eco-solvent prints - did the manufacturer's site provide a profile for a Roland - You can go to Roland site and download a matte paper profile - www.rolanddga.com - if not registered - register…"

Best Profile for a thick 40lb bond paper?

I just bought a new roll of paper from GSG and for some reason blacks are not printing very black, more like a medium grey. I need a media profile that has a higher ink output. I tried to increase the levels of black but it results in sort of a ink pooling situation. The texture of the paper itself is thick and sort of an ashy/chalky/matte finish. At this point I think I just need a different roll of paper, but I thought I'd try to see if anyone had any advice. Thanks!See More

"There is a very long explanation, but I will try to give you a brief one. SP and VP are same physical machine but SP has 2 heads and VP has 4 has no machine has 3 heads. With know-how you can change a SP to a VP but parts, MB changes make it not…"

"Yes it can do it and for many years now if you use the cut line named: PerfCutContour It will not however slice the backer in the middle like where you buy and peel to get the backing off. You can cut shapes all day, or night long"

Why can't my Roland cut backing paper of stickers?

I mean technically it can if I add enough pressure, but I was wondering if this is something that my machine was designed to do. I am talking about cutting stickers and having the backing paper be cut to a specific shape as well. At this point we're just weeding the entire sheet of stickers and then cutting them apart by hand. If you have any tips or recommendations on a printer that does this, let me know!See More
