In this situation I would suggest that you set a minimum price that you will A. set up the file B. load the printer / factoring material cost, eg wrap vinyl versus calendered etc. C. Print and cut Anything that doesn't price out above your min…

Color Managment and Illustrator 5.5

Hello All,We have recently updated our software from Corel X4 to Illustrator 5.5. We are having issues with color management as well as contour cut.How do we get the colors to work together? We want the colors to print out accurately. When our Versacamm was set up we were using the Corel X4 version and the colors worked as well as contour cut. Now since we have updated Illustrator 5.5 is not recognizing contour cut at all. We work in Illustrator and send to Corel in order to get the contour cut…See More

I adjust my press like this: for t-shirts I place a dollar bill on 1 corner of the press  allowing half to hang off the platen - close press and pull dollar bill out - a little drag should be all I feel - I adjust…

Thanks everyone for all your advice and suggestions on this issue. I have been thinking pressure all along. I am going to play with the pressure today and if that doesn't fix the hairline white line I will just start adding white borders to…

Eric, yes that is considered a bleed what you are doing, where the color goes beyond the cutline.   The problem that people are having with the quick print is even if you have a huge bleed, when they press it a very thin white line appears…

A lot of stuff I do is actually multi colored with a white background so this isn't a big issue with me.  I will even add a small white outline to my logos that don't neccessarly need one, but it does help to make them look better and…

Halo? Maybe we're talking about 2 separate issues. I've never experienced a halo.............it actually 'looks' like we're seeing the depth of the vinyl. That's why I assumed I wasn't useing enough pressure and…

Really? I was increasing pressure. Never thought to reduce the pressure. That's interesting, Butch. Too much pressure, huh? Now I'm curious as heck. I've got to go see if I have a scrap left over or an extra print in my…

Diane, the issue with pressure was to much pressure when I was getting white edges.  I'm testing the new Siser PU stretch now and at this point I'm leaning toward it for most of my printing.
