Banner sewing

I'm looking to sew my printed banners rather than use the tape.  Anyone recommend a sewing machine?  I know it must be an industrial walking foot machine.  Where is thread available? Thanks,CindyContinue

Daniel:   My problem was the convert to spot colors was checked and Native color was checked with stopped the cutline from working.  Once those were unchecked everything has been great and X5 is doing what it needs to.  The CutContour…

I had a similar issue with one of our clients. Varying versions of Corel may need different wording. CutContour only works in CorelDraw X4. Check out your local service provider.

Butch: That was it.  Settings were also to Native color and I had to change that.  Too many variable to watch for I guess. Thanks, Cindy

Try applying a hairline with the CutContour color. Make sure convert spot colors to process is not selected in the Corel eps export selection. Export.

CutContour in Corel X5 not working

OK, I was excited for the new Corel X5 but I'm ready to toss it.  I found and tried the CutContour in the Roland Spot library for my cut line and I have exported the design(s) without the hairline selected but when I get to Versaworks - no cut line appears.  Any idea what to try next?CindySee More

He didn't replace all the caps - said they looked good but I bought 3 more and will replace them myself. Have the new wipers also - I am making the payments. Was good to have a tech look everything over to make sure I'm in good shape…

Good Deal! Hope they replaced all 4. Just make sure to do your manual cleanings once a week and keep an eye on the wipers if they get too bad replace them. I run into so many customers employees that don't care about the printer because they…

Mike: Tech showed up yesterday and it was a bad captop. Wish I had know enough in the first 90 days because it had been a problem since the first week. Goobs of ink filling the captop and plugging the head. The magenta would leave a swipe of ink at…

BTW Roland only covers the captops for 90 day from date of purchase starting March 09 and suggests replacing all caps and the same time. For printers shipped on or after March 1, 2009: The service department will not factor in any compensation on…

Call for a tech and let them fix it if it is under warranty. Stay with the tech and watch and learn what they are doing and why. Do NOT do anything to void the warranty or cause damage tot he machine. If the head is damaged, and it is through your…

Not a week. Just did a boat logo in red before so this was a surprise. Sucking the mag up to the head - is that like Mike was explaining to me or is there another way? Cindy

The way I would test it would be with a syringe with a plastic tip (Michaels arts and Crafts). Turn off the unit move the heads out of the way then follow the magenta tube down to where it connects to the y connector( use pdf for ref) unplug it push the hose on the tip of the syringe and try to pull if clogged the syringe wont pull.

The captop are a important part of the ink/cleaning system if they dont seal up to the printhead good then the pump will not be able to pull ink through the system. That is why I asked how long ago they were replaced.
I have seen on the VP the mag captop tube get clogged here is a link to a doc that shows how the replace the captops if will give you an idea of the tubing i am talking about. That is what I would chk next.
How old is the printer?
