I didn't cut down the paper myself I had the distributor I bought it from cut it for me.
The raising of the paper occurs on both the left and right side. I usually press the down arrow to have the paper feed down so I can check…"
"That is sometime how life is. The good news is that you have media clamps that can fix that issue. The fact that you took something to the edge to cut it down could be the simple explanation of the distortion. Besides, I am sure the vacuum was not…"
Hi,I am attempting to print on some concept 250 (wall frog) wall decal paper. It was originally a 54" roll which I had cut down to a 24" and 30" roll. While the 30" roll works fine. The 24" roll seems to raise up on the printer. I'm afraid it will case a head strike. I roll the paper down on the printer to see how far it happens and it seems to be continuously.I'm attaching a photo. I don't know if it is because it is a cut roll or if there is something wrong with the paper, rollers, etc.See More
Thanks for the reply.
I will go ahead and get a printhead to replace the black one so I'm completely fixed.
I'm back printing as far as the green is concerned. As I said I replaced the caps/dampers/wiper. I also had…"
"You addressed everything but your color management. Look at the CMYK values of the colors you are using. If they are mixing in Black, there is your issue. The unevenness is coming from the missing nozzles. That black head is gone."
Does anyone have any idea as to why I have been having trouble printing decals that have large areas of green. I have changed my cap tops (after this problem) and dampers. I've also didn't the usually printhead cleaning maintenance. For a while I have had some issue printing green grass. I usually have to print it several times to get a good consistent print. However, this week I can't seem to print a consistent grass decal as it shows yellow casting randomly across the decal. Sometimes it's…See More
When I had my machine installed back in 2009 by an Imprintable's tech I thought the installers showed me how to raise my print head on my SP300v for when I wanted to print thicker materials such as a banner. Is this possible? If so how do I do it.Signed,Printchic aka AngelaSee More
"I replaced it on my 540v and it was pretty straight forward the only suggestion I would make is before you pull the old one out of the machine tape the new one to it so you can use the old one as a snake to pull the new one through the machine."
I got a chance to try out the phototex opaque for solvent printers several months ago but am just getting around to posting about it. It was a joy to print on. The issues of not being able to use "tape mask" over it are gone. I was able to do lettering for a customer and the tape picked it right up off the paper. yippeeI am not sure that the issue with residue build up on the rollers is actually gone but it wasn't as much. The are still areas in my designs where I had to use a razor blade to…See More
"Thanks Irving for the info but by the time I saw your post I had ordered the part from ebay. My daughter and I installed it Tuesday night. Took us about 3 hours since one screw striped and didn't want to come out. Cost me…"
Hi,My versacamm SP300v is sick. It started giving me a 0.0 for the media width for a few days. I now get either a "pinch Roller Invalid Position Error Left" or a Pinch Roller invalid Right Position error message as attempt to left up and down the bar that hold the paper in place. I have narrowed it down to replacing the Cut Carriage Cable but I see reference to other parts to replace at the same time.So my question is what is the part number for a SP300V versacamm cut carriage cable and I…See More
