I am about to start advertising wall graphics. Do you have a set price based on size. Also, which media do you like the best. I am outsourcing my larger ones and want to know which price to sell at. Thanks for the feedback!

Permalink Reply by muda coughlin on April 28, 2011 at 2:28pm well, as promised here is an update on the test decal I did for my husbands car - it's been on a few weeks now and we've discovered the ink can be rubbed off with our fingers. It was not laminated.
to be honest, I did turn the heater down on the printer - so I'm going to try again - I just assumed if it was dry the ink was "set". Am I wrong on that assumption?

Permalink Reply by Vinny Risalvato on April 28, 2011 at 5:09pm as far as wall graphics we charge buy the sq ft and that price dependes on not only
on location but how much design work you do.
the media depends on many different things type of wall, humitdy, how long they want
the vinyl to last. here in dallas we charge between 15-20 per sq ft. some times we
charge a little less or more it depends on the work involved.
hope this helps alittle

Permalink Reply by muda coughlin on May 3, 2011 at 8:16am As I mentioned before I did a test on PhotoTex and the ink ran after a couple of weeks - I couldn't find the MCVP profile so I used generic vinyl this time with. How do you guys determine how hot the printer/dryer setting should be for each material?

MCVP is a default Roland setting and should show up automatically. If it does not, do an update of Versaworks and it should be in there after that. Also, set your dryer to 120 (50 c) if you really want it dry.

I was worried about updating versaworks because only the Imac is hooked up to the internet (I use the PC for a RIP only and I was worried about corrupting something - does anyone else work this way? Have you had problems downloading upgrades and profiles to the Mac and sending them to the PC?
