We have a vp 540 it was working fine and then lost power to the control panel. Has anyone else experienced this?

Check
-subpower (front-control panel) switch push to confirm no response
-mainpower switch rear flip hit subpower / hit again hit subpower
-check powercord - to wall, but more importantly to machine (sometimes in enough to give power intermittently) remove and reseat
-check circuit breaker/socket fuse
-Lastly, if all else above was checked in some order, then you looking at an internal fuse or board
I will wait to hear......

Permalink Reply by Aimee Carstens on April 25, 2012 at 6:53pm reseated all ribbon cables , replaced power board, checked plugs, checked outlet, power coming in ok. All ribbon cables bright white like new. checked fuses, power to power board is 41 volts dc, had tech come out , he gas been here 3 x he said it was power board, we didn't think so but, replaced it and didn't work doing same thing, Rolands said there are safety features for shorts and overheating, the machine shuts down secondary power. So something is not allowing it to get secondary power, it works then doesn't. The control panel seems to work fine while it is on, but a couple times while booting up on the display it says Rolands VP 540 and it freezes at that. ???????????????????????????? Someone , anyone please help. PS It sounds like it is something silly but, where is it?
Permalink Reply by Paul Minichbauer on July 11, 2012 at 7:37pm I have just experienced the no power to front panel problem. The machine will not turn on at all. Did you get it fixed and can you please tell me what was the problem????
Permalink Reply by Aimee Carstens on July 11, 2012 at 8:36pm Hi Paul,
we checked out everything, the core of our problem was 2 things. Power supply and main board. Very expensive fix, but well worth it. You should have a rolands tech do this, and check everything out accordingly
I hope this helps , good luck, anything we can do let us know.
Thanks ,
Kevin
