I am working on a first time project...I am using kelly green vinyl and putting white vinyl letters on top of it for an outdoor surface.  Here is my question.  How do I get the white letters onto the green vinyl straight?  Do I use a mask to lift it off of the vinyl backing and place it onto the green vinyl...or do I just use a ruler and get them as straigt as possible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Mask and apply. Once you mask the white, before removing the backing lay the white down and make some registration marks. I prefer hole dot method. Remove the backing from the white. If you prefer apply wet. Squeege down, Remove mask your done.
I know you explained the hole dot method before, but I'm just not grasping it. Would you mind running through it one more time?
You should have spaces between the edge of the backing and edge of the graphic. (The area where you removed excess vinyl when you weeded your design.) Mask your graphic. With a hole punch, punch thru the masking and the backing in several places around this area. Position your graphic on the substrate, with a stibillo pencil make a dot thru the hole onto the substrate. Remove the backing apply the graphic by matching hole to dot. Perfect placement without guessing. Stibillo wipes of with a wet cloth.
