Tried it again, made it 56% and stopped, machine says it "Now Processing".  HELP!!!!
Is your connection wireless?  If so It could be dropping out or being interupted by your virus software.  It it is hardwired you may have a bad connection.
I gave up on the wireless a long time ago.  I am re-installing versaworks to see if that will help.
What are the symptoms when the motherboard goes out on a VP540?
I have tried to print 5 different files and all the same, the printer prints about a 1/4 of the way and then it stops. The display reads "Now Processing". HELP
Are you ripping then printing or ripping and printing at the same time? Do you have  multiple programs open at one time? Is it a bad cable or computer port? Check these first ,more than likely you'll find the answer there. The last Norton upgrade I did slowed my system terribly. I turn it off when printing.
I am a complete idiot! I added another computer to my network and it choose the same IP address as my printer. Needless to say this was a big mistake, but problem solved. Thanks for the advice.
Glad to hear problem solved !
One of the many reasons why I NEVER install a Versa on a network. Glad to hear you got it working.
Hi Steven, My Versacamm uses a stand alone laptop, which means anytime I print I have to use Versaworks on that laptop.  Are you saying that it's a bad idea to run Versaworks on each computer, with my Versacamm plugged directly into the router?   Thanks!
I think he is saying it works for some and not all and for those who it works for they need to have and understanding of how networks work.  I witnessed a VC being operated over a network and the user was in California and the machine in Chicago.  I think everyone should have multiple copies of VWs on multiple machines or you asking for potential problems.  If one system goes down you have a backup ready to go with less production time lost.  That would allow you to hit singles, if you want to hit a homerun - save the file with the source to some external drive and even if the originating system fails you will have all needed to run the job from the next machine - BANG!

Again, I would never put the VC on a network. Direct to the computer only. I know many that go through a router and are successful, and then I see stories like this thread where the job is lost due to the network. Direct to the computer. period.

I do agree with Irv on having having all of your computers setup with Versaworks etc. Issue with one, simply switch it out. All of our computers are configured for all of the printers so I can swap them out as needed.
