A Digital Printing Network
Our shop supports a number of organizations with various logos for various apparel types and decals. Does anyone have a system or method to share related to how you store and label them for future use? For example, I frequently print 10 logos on Quickprint and 10 on Quickprint Subblock. I store them when not using them. I don't have a good method at the moment for storing them, without mask, so that when the time comes (make a sale) to use them...I can quickly find them and determine the material type.
Any proven methods out there? This extends to decals Arlon 4560GTX / ARLON 9000 and sublimation transfers I've printed waiting for a sale.
If we have extras from a run we will separate them & file them in hanging file folders in a specific cabinet under the customers name or the print name ("school basketball"). We also have boxes of plastisol transfers from previous orders and if it is for the same client the versacamm prints go on there. If they are not weeded and we need to know the material in the future, we will take a sharpie & right the name of the material on the part that will be weeded. This has worked for us....
Same here. Hanging folders or labeled boxes with their accompanying plastisol transfers.
I also have a big 'catch-all' drawer that I store extras from non-recurring projects.
I use those for samples, reference or for experimenting...............
