Participated in a Roland webinar on Step & Repeat this past Tuesday.  What a great tool.  My problem is that I cannot view all of the Output Settings.  Has anyone else had the problem and, if so, were you able to fix it?

Hi John,

Any news from Roland on this issue?

Dennis

No Dennis I'll try contacting Dana, Sorry working been on a large sign that's kicking my,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I'll send you a PM with Steven's email. you can contact him directly. I'll be going on vacation tomorrow and won't be able to follow up with him. Steven is at the NBM show in Indianapolis until early next week so it might take a while to get an answer.

Care to explain what kind of sigh and it's size?  I'm curious.

Ok we got a response from engineering. They have started looking into correcting the issue. For now they recommend the resolution change and they hope to have a fix in a month with the next release of VersaWorks. There may still be trouble with letter size and that's based on monitor resolution.

As I hear more I'll chime in.

Maybe they can fix the monitor resolution issue with the queue settings as well. Same issue but you can usually auto hide the windows task bar to get to the ok button :)

Hint, hint

Pretty please....

They may be one and the same. But you don't have to hide the start menu. click on the cut controls tab and press enter on your keyboard. We figured this out when we were testing netbooks. They didn't have sufficient resolution for VersaWorks either.

dang! Taught an old dog a new trick today! Thanks Dana :)

Dana,

Thanks for the update.  Really looking forward to a fix that does not require changing monitor resolution.

Step and repeat really is a nice tool.

This is in response to a few of us that have problems with Step and Repeat not showing the entire left column, Steven Tu sent the info to Roland and they found that if you have a wide screen monitor (like me) the system defaults to Display setting 125%, if you go into Control Manager or right click on your background choose Display settings and change it to 100% it will work correctly. He also said the Software Engineers are working on a solution for this issue. I've enclosed a screen shot he sent me of the correct way to change it, you have to do a restart for it to take effect.

John,

Thank you for the update.  I have dual monitors, one of which is a wide screen, like yours.  I generally view VersaWorks on my square screen, which apparently is affected by having a wide screen hooked up to my computer.  Now that we have the workaround, I will most likely wait for the software engineers at Roland to provide a permanent solution that doesn't require the workaround.  I wonder if Roland will send out a notice to VersaWorks users when the issue is resolved.

I figured If I need to use it I'll change the size and then change it back because when I checked to see if it worked the text and thumbnails were way to small to work with for me, If you use duel screens try Microsoft's free program "Mouse without borders" It's works great you use one mouse and it goes to each screen even if you have two computers hooked up and you can drag and drop files to each off of the desktop, I used it until I got the wide screen.
