A Digital Printing Network

I had someone bring me some graphics printed on a clear static cling material still on the paper.  There was nothing on the backside of the paper to tell me the manufacturer.  I did not see the decals that had been on the stainless steel that had turned brown so don't know to what degree of discoloration there was.  Has anyone heard of a particular brand that does this or seen this happen to clear decal material?

What discolored-the static or the imprint?

I have static cling here in clear and white some of it over 10 years old-and no discoloration or even fogging of the clear.

If the imprint turned brown-was it screenprinted or digital printed? makes a difference which type of ink was used.

I don't have the samples anymore to see if it was screenprinted or digitally printed but they said the clear material itself turned brown.

I found out a little more on this subject from the client.  He just built this kiosk in the mall and some of the stainless steel it is putting the decals on is brand new.  He told me the new stainless steel has an oil (possibly part of the manufacturing process) that causes the clear vinyl to turn brown.
