I broke the nipple on my blue/black manifold. So I took the head off and replaced the manifold. I put the head back on and now when I print blocks of C M Y and K, the M and Y print perfectly, but Blue and Black blocks are printed with Magenta, as if it's doing it to compensate for the now non-working blue/black head. When I do a print test, the blue and black don't print at all anymore. Has she gone into some kind of fault mode? I didn't have head rank numbers so I just reinstalled the head without using the service mode at all. How badly have I messed myself up? Any ideas?
Thanks!

Permalink Reply by Jeff Allen on August 10, 2012 at 3:28pm Thanks for the reply. Naw, that didn't fix it. Also, I've pulled ink through the damper & head via the capping station line with no problem getting suction. The head just isn't firing at all. I'm curious about the fact that it's printing magenta INSTEAD of black or blue, instead of just not printing anything. I'm wondering if it went into some kind of alternate mode, or if I just fried some component on the board.
