A Digital Printing Network

I am very new to my versacamm. I have only been running in for under 2 months. I am getting ready to use sub block material. I cannot find any profiles to download to adjust the settings in the machine. Wondered if anyone had any tips on using this material. Also i have had trouble using the solutions opaque. After i print and cut the design wants to curl up off the sheet. Do i need to allow for it to dry before cutting? i would also love to ear some tips on the solutions opaque. please help :)

Jane - for sub-block, use either quickprint profile or solutions opaque profile. Both do a very nice job. For solutions opaque, the real trick is to cut the material first, and then have it return to the origin and print after that. You can control this in the settings for the job under the cut controls tab. Have it cut only and return to origin, then after running the job, go back and print only.

Works like a charm!
Steven I've never heard of this technique. We too have the curl issue on some designs especially the pointy graphics or serif fonts. We've tried to let it print first then dry for an hour or so then cut. It seemed some better that way but we will try your method on our next run. Thanks for the great tip.
It took us a while to figure it out but it really does work. Also, sometimes I will mask the material prior to weeding and then weed from the backside to allow the mask to hold down the material. Works like a charm!
After struggling with solutions opaque, I have to agree with Steven that masking the material and then weeding will help, in addition to cutting first and then printing. Also when weeding, weed AWAY from the text or graphic.
We have also had issues when doing the contour cut the material will start to curl and sometimes get pulled partially up. This was after printing of course. We have tried to slow the cut down and changed pressure settings with some results. Any ideas on the perfect settings or will cutting first then printing cure this?
Cutting first should solve the issue for you.
