Roland & Adobe Illustrator
I have a customer who uses nothing but Illustrator. They send me files in .ai or .pdf format. Is there anyone who can help me with cut contours and printing to my versacamm from illustrator without going thru Corel???

All you do is create or use outlines in the design. Save the swatch color you use for the stroke as a spot color named "CutContour", the save the file as an .eps.

Yes I use to use Illustrator to cut contour all the time...just follow John Drake's instructions, but make sure the spelling for the spot color is exact CutContour then save as .eps and bring into versaworks works like a charm, in versaworks make sure you see the "marching ants"
