A Digital Printing Network

I finished setting up the Imprintables booth at ISA in Las Vegas and had a chance to go visit the Roland booth and get a sneak peek of the new Roland BN-60 20" VersaCAMM that is being unveiled tomorrow. There have been tons of rumors on it and the machine they have here is a prototype but I was able to get a few pictures that will be shared here.

Basics:

Under $8000 - final price still not set

20" print and cut area

Metallic ink option

Matching laminator (separate cost est $1200 range)

1440 x 720 dpi

Table top size

There will be more to come as the week goes by so stay tuned!

Thanks, I was wondering why they were saying CCMYK... Cuz I was thinking what difference would it make?

you have to fill that empty slot somehow if you don't want the metallic ;-)

Some people do not want the extra expense of the metallic cartridge.

What's the cost of the metallic and does it get used up or evaporate when doing normal prints..?
metallic cartridges are $229.99 for a 220ml size. They do not evaporate but do get used up over time due to cleaning and recycling etc.

Hello Steve, Thanks for accepting me as a Member,

I can't wait to get my New BN-20!

Please pack my free stand too, yay! :)

-Sue

Glad to be able and help!

Free stand? Let me know on that one as I am a bit confused - they do not make a stand for the printer.

The free stand is for Australian customers only. Sorry! It is through a different division of Roland.

Oh, oops. Well, I did see a stand advertised when I was researching the machine. It looked like a metal stand, tubular. Is that right? Thanks Steve!

-Sue

That is the international division website. The US website is www.rolanddga.com - I do not see the same stand there but I might be missing it. It is not being offered as an incentive in the US as of yet though.
Okay steve, well I do appeciate you checking into this for me. Kinda funny though, I just assumed anything for the BN-20 would be available in the US first, since it is manufactured here. Odd. Hmmm, well, guess we just cannot have everything! Still happy!   : )
All Roland products are manufactured in Japan. Most of the time we will get the products the same time as everyone else but occasionally it is not the case.
