Anyone try this technique to remove vinyl mistakes?  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BpJO-16Ipkg&feature=plcp  Looks like this is for cut vinyl, anyone have tips for removing print/cut vinyl?  Same process?  Success?

I didn't look at the video you limked, but Stahl's MethyleneChloride (nasty stuff) will remove the vinyl just like it will for cad-cut vinyl

lady Di

Lady Di is correct; methylene chloride is nasty stuff, which is why I am very surprised that gloves were not used when handling the methylene chloride at the beginning of the video, although they were used later.  The MSDS (material safety data sheet) for methylene chloride states:

WARNING! HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED, INHALED OR ABSORBED THROUGH SKIN. AFFECTS

CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM, LIVER, CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM, AND BLOOD. CAUSES

IRRITATION TO SKIN, EYES AND RESPIRATORY TRACT. SUSPECT CANCER HAZARD. MAY

CAUSE CANCER.

it will work for digital prints as well but I agree with Dennis - be cautious when using it. You can also use the solvent based cleaner for screen printers that they use to blast plastisol off.

I have used the Stahls stuff on both regular vinyl and print/cut vinyl. It works to some extent if you are re-printing over the area where you removed the mistake. You need to make sure the ink from print/cut materials doesn't end up on the garment.
