I just stopped by a wrestling practice for a team that I do some coaching with and noticed some guys who had apparel like hoodys and shorts on that I did last year with Quickprint. Well, I am sorry to say it looked bad. The colors were fading off. I am thinking the prints just suffered from too much abrasion since wrestling is a high contact sport. Although it is possible they were not washed with care, my money is on the abrasion ruining the prints.
Anyone else have a similiar experience with wrestlers? Is there a way to laminate or add some kind of protective barrier to make the Quickprint more durable. Thanks.
My money on wrestling being a sport that is sweaty and parent responsible doing the wash - using high abrasive detergent like Tide. Sure smells good when finish but design looks like it was washed with sandpaper. I will take 5 to 1 odds.
Hey Irv, with the 5 to 1 odds are you thinkinog the washing or the wrestling ruined the prints? Just wanted to clarify. Also, is there any product you know of that can somehow protect Quickprint? Thanks dude!
+1 on what Irv said. I will add this though - Quickprint will fade over time just as any other printable media. The more the washing and the more agressive the detergent the quicker.
