Does anyone have tips on cutting Solar Print? My issue right now is that I cannot cut completely through, I have tried ajusting the speed and force with no luck. I have a VS-300. Any input would be appreciated.

Hi Kimberly,

Yep, Solar Print is tough stuff I had to use a new blade and I think it was around 95grams pressure, my old blade was cutting fine on everything else, when I was done with SP I put it back in. Start around 70 and go up from there with your test cuts.

Also, I always slow the cut speed down, It's a great selling point that it cuts real fast but I run it about 23ps and on real complicated cuts 20ps that's what I used with solar print also. The blade has to spin around with direction change and with thick stuff or high pressure I slow it up a bit.

Are you using a 45 or 60 blade for SP?

45,

60's are only for very thick media like maybe sticky flock.

60's work well also with harder medias as the blade angle is more aggressive and will "bite" into it more.
