I have a SP-300i which i just recently saw this morning doing its routine clean, then it suddenly stops with a message on the LCD screen which reads "Processing..." this has probably being going on for the last hour or so...
this is the second time so it's starting get annoying when it is also making that high pitched squealing noise.

Permalink Reply by irving donaldson on February 2, 2012 at 8:29pm Daniel that is abnormally normal, all but the high pitch squealing noise. When it happens just power down (you can hold the front button or just turn off the main power and power back up). Can you identify where the squealing is coming from? This sometimes happens during printing - causes for those - bad files in your que; and connections interruptions are the likely culprits.

And i've tried holding onto the power button at the front and also tried holding it down till it shutdown. Both methods did not work. It seems that the connections are also okay. It's the exact same noise i hear when i prepare the printer for a head clean and makes that high pitch squealing noise. But what i had done was powered off from the back of the printer. I haven't turned it back on since turning it off.
