So I have asked this question before.  I have a photo I want to print on Vivid Print.  When I add the cutline, export it as eps to versa works, print it.  The picture looks bad.  Please help..

Attach is the orginal file, the eps (THe website will not let the eps file attach, it is too big), and pictures of the print. I used different Color Management  Presets.  This was Density Control DSC_0369.JPG  This was Pre-Press usa DSC_0368.JPG THis was Max Impact DSC_0367.JPG

Butch, are you enlarging your image before printing? I'm not sure you'll get any better results by scanning at 720 vs. 300 DPI. What you will get is a much larger file size. As long as you're printing the same size or smaller I'd just scan at 300 DPI.
If I have a 3x5 and need to enlarge to a 14x20 in VW. I scan at high resolutions. Trying to prevent what I call pixel blowout.
I thought maybe that was the case. You can't imagine how many people bring in a thumb drive with a low rez Jpeg and want a poster size made from it.
I recently did a 100 celebration banner for a church. There were 5 pics in the banner all about 16x20. The first pic in the series was pic from a newpaper in 1940 showing the church in 1910. I reproduced this 720 and printed a 16x20 size on 3651. Then applied to the banner with great results.
when you export it to vw what file type do you find to have the best results. JPG EPS PDF
Eps, rgb color, postscript 3 compatibility if using Corel. Photosphop eps if using Photoshop.
Ok that is how I exported it. The only time I can get photo to try out are ones I have taken my self!
