I was sent a PDF from a customer for a poster to be printed/laminated. I brought the PDF into Corel 5 and exported it to my desktop as a PDF...when I try to bring it into Versaworks it shows up in the job list but will not download. Am I not waiting long enough or have I missed a step along the way????? Thanks

John unless you need to modify the PDF you can import directly into VW. In Corel make sure you have picked the entire pdf and not just the background .
Thanks....I'll check it out.
It worked but it took a very long time to load into VW?????
How big is the file? How much ram does your computer have and how many other pograms are running at the same time? VW works slow if not enough memory is being allocated to its processes. Could be your problem, wouldn't know without a system analysis.
As Butch stated is one. Do not have high quaality image checked in preference and then try to import a hi res image - VW will balk everytime - so poor quality in preview equals max resources for processing. 2nd do not try to import actual size if it is a large image - this is the only reason to bring a PDF into corel - reduce it proportionately by half or 3 quarters and then increase it by the same when it is in VW. Files that take a long time to import is problematic and if I have to use I do and then dump - if I need it again I work the file when I have time. Do not leave it sitting in the queue unless you want unexpected crashes.
