Over spray of Black Ink on Versacamm SP-300v - what is the problem?
Hey all,
When printing black there is overspray and it is not a sharp print. Other colors are fine.
I tried calling around to get info on what the problem may be, and place said that the black Print Head is bad and needs to be replaced. Here is the link they gave me to buy from them.
Roland DX4 Print Head (SOLVENT) for Versacamm SP-300v at solventinkjet.comNow, is this the actual problem or is there any other way to fix this issue other then dropping $800 on a head from this place? And if I dont have a choice, does anyone know of a place that would be cheaper? Thanks again all! |

How exactly do you do a "head soak"? I've seen it talked about but can't find info on the actual procedure.
And if it was static, wouldn't at least one of the other colors be bad to? Not just the black?

Static works in mysterious ways, normally yes other colors are involved but I've seen the same problem you are having ID'd as static on other printing websites. Head soak involves clamping off the line going to the pump, filling captop with cleaning solution and parking the head back on the captops for extended period, doing a medium clean after.

Try to spend some money on cleaning cartridges and wipers to see how is going.
