Ok, I know I am off topic but not sure where else to turn to. I am trying to figure out how to modify my Deco Studio e1.5 design so that it stitches from the center out for a ball cap. Anyone else using Deco Studio that can help me figure out how to change this.

Permalink Reply by Mark Reynolds on March 2, 2012 at 8:58am I have it when I am looking at text i put together but since I have a full design I am not finding it. I ended up going into the color manager and moving the sequence around so that it started the various items from inside out. Not most efficent way but hopefully it works. Will let you know when I go in to work this morning.
thanks so much for your help!

You may not be able to do exactly what you're trying to do, but there are ways around it most times. For instance, if you're trying to sew a circle in the center of the cap front, and make it sew from the center out, you're going to have a bit of difficulty, as there's no set automatic button to make that happen. You kind of have to digitize your elements with this in mind. With that said, however, you can edit your start and stop points of your fills. So say you're trying to do that circle and want to start from the bottom and work your way to the top, I would digitize my shape with this in mind, starting at the bottom and then after I finished creating the element, I'd set my start and stop points using the " Reshape Object" tool. When you have your object selected and you choose this tool, you'll get a green diamond (the starting point) and a red plus (the stop point). You can move them to whereever you'd like them to be. The stitch processor will sometimes do something different with the underlay, etc, though, so sometimes it's advantageous to digitize the underlay manually (center out bottom up on a cap) just enough to tack the cap to the stabilizer to keep it from distorting, then sew your object on top of that bottom up, center out, with whatever real underlay that you need. Does this make any sense? If you want to upload the file, I'll try to take a look at it this evening and see if I can send it back to you with a little explanation. I digitize in Wilcom level 3, so it has a few more whistles than Deco, but a lot of the basic tools are still there, and you can open anything I do in your software. Upload it as an EMB file.
