A Digital Printing Network

Just a tip I thought I'd pass along...felt squeegees aren't cheap, and you will really use them up on digital prints and coroplast work. I have an 18" paper cutter 'guillotine' sitting in the corner of the shop, used to use it for cutting decals, bumper stickers, poster signs and stuff. For the past couple of years-I'd have to say more than 5-6, I have also been using it to 'trim off' the rolled (worn) edges of my felt squeegees! As soon as they lose the 'sharp' edge I just clamp them under the press and drop the blade...instantly a new edge. Haven't had to replace a single one yet-I've got 2 half round and 2 rectanular and that's all I've had since I bought the Versacamm. I'm a penny pinching cheap yankee...why buy a new one when I can just 'sharpen' the edge! Do it often, as soon as the edge starts to show wear-then you are only shaving off a thin slice. Wait too long and you have to take a bigger bite and your squeegee will disappear too fast.
