Hi folks

Can anyone sell my what kind of cutt settings I need for standard garment vinyl (not printable vinyl.) I have a SP300V I know that it all depends on how what versacamm you have and how sharp your blade is, but I'd just like a genral idea.

All my media profiles at the moment seem to be set to 50gf, then I downloaded stahls solutions opaque and its set to 130gf, seems like a big jump in pressures (i know the stahls media profile is printable, but would that make much of a differenc?)

so should i cut my clothing vinyl at 50gf or closer to 130gf :s

helpp!!

thanksss

have you run a test cut? I would start at 70 grams and do a test cut and adjust until you get a good cut.
My normal settings are  : EcoFilm 60, ThermoFlex 80, Stahls Thermofilm 160, I still do a test cut to make sure settings work.
Sorry no help here, I never use those recommended settings.  To many variables (blade wear, amount of blade exposed, etc)  for someone to tell me about recommended settings. I test cut everything, all the time.

Agreed Irv, I test cut and test print every time I change media.
