Have a good nozzle check except for I have no magenta:( did not realize that until I went to take off two yard signs I printed and they were green:( should have done the test print before starting but usually never have any issues, lesson learned

Any ideas on what is causing it to not print the magenta?

could bae a bad damper

cleaned it, then did a head clean and it is working. Thanks

printer has been printing great, perfect nozzle checks etc
However I had printed a sign back in May they wanted two more, sent the image again and it printed more of a green than a gray this time? not sure why because it appears to be the same file but when I look at the image in versacamm from May and the one I out in last week they even look different on screen. is there a way the profile colors would have gotten changed in the process?? just weird, never had that happen before.

Color rendition on a monitor can change over time.  Is the grey you are trying to print a Roland color?  If it is and the color you are printing is not the same as what is on your color chart, I would check your nozzles again.

no it was just a photograph that was provided. could not change any of the colors. It is just weird because it is the same image but the file I printed in May when looking at it in versaworks look different than what the new one looks like in versaworks (on the same screen)

Thanks

go to view, job log, click on the old  job and compare to new for any differences

Teresa, are you printing from the saved rvw file?

Are you saying the rvw file looks different???

no did not print from the saved file, it just looks different when looking at them on the monitor.

Print a small sample, your computer screen colors are not reliable at all. many reasons why, never believe what you see on that. If you know how to clip a part of your design do that and compare your colors.

As stated many factors can cause your results. 1st did you bring it into a program ie Corel then to VWs - or directly into VWs, and was it the same both times - 2nd - check ur profiles -
You probably not using the same version of VWsand that could cause the change you are seeing - sometimes we do things and do not realize that we change things. As John stated to save media, you can make the image print size, then clip it to your problem area and print just that area. You can keep putting ur tests side by side until you get a satisfactory copy.

OK so this is going to sound like a dumb question BUT how can I tell what my profiles were from the job I did in May until the one I did a couple weeks ago? they just come in as size and then I put the media to the vinyl instead of banner so how do I know if one is different?

Teresa, that's EXACTLY why I asked you if you were printing from your saved rvw file

If you make a habit of saving that file after you print, next time you bring in that file, Versaworks will remember ALL the information you used previously

Trust me, it's a godsend

saves tons and tons of wasted time, effort and $$$

No guessing required

works like a charm
