ink splatters on prints

Have attached a sample print from my roland sp540v - prints ok for a short while (6" to 12 then sprays inks randomly across the print. I have done manual clean, cleaned the scaper behind the wipers, cleaned encoder scale and carriage cable. The wipers are fairly new. Am printing on adhesive vinyl.

 Any thoughts on what's causing this, please?
