Hi
I have an eps file that I have printed on the dtg but it will not import into versa works. I keep getting a timed out error code. and it won't import. Any ideas on how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You never said the design program or the size of the file. You do not have to bring the file in at print size you can reduce it, BUT maintain the ratio. Also if you are multiply to increase ensure you have enough DPIs to avoid pixelation. I try to use 12 inches as my size for at least one side. This should help and also avoid your time outs.

I know, I know, I usually hate giving up my vectors too, but sometimes it is what it is.
Stick a fork in it and move on!

I will try those. I switched medias as I had something else to do too. And of course my internet went down. When it rains it pours. I will try your and Dianne's suggestions and see what works.
thanks Guys
I am running into a similar problem-since last week Versaworks will not open any .eps file I send to it. Not one! I am running defrag on that computer now even though it said it didn't need it-but I'm stuck with a couple banner jobs to do!
SIze of file makes no difference-I have sent 750mg files to it with no problem-now it won't even open a 1 mg file.
I have tried .eps from Freehand (my usual program on Mac), Illustrator CS3 and CS5, Photoshop CS-anything I could throw at it. The Versaworks is on a PC networked to my Mac.
I have checked 'all supported files' and 'all files' and no difference.
Any suggestions?
Been working on this problem for days, and finally transferred the .eps files to a CD, brought that to the PC running Versaworks. Surprise! No problem with the files-so it might be some 'glitch' in transferring the files over an ethernet? Yet a 'test' this morning of a NASA earth photo did work...

well changing it to bitmap worked. But I have lot of gradients and other tranparentacies going on in the design. I am using pre-press because of this. Now my problem same design just duplicated it in corel so I could do 2 at once. They are not printing the same. One is printing pre-press and one is printing max impact. And how I know is I put one in and printed it max impact of I did the single one pre-press and it still printed wrong. And yes I used the one out of the 2 that printed correctly. Why would this do this?
Ps I do love this machine though. Already tried 3 different medias so cool!!!!!
Thanks

Permalink Reply by April Holder on February 13, 2012 at 1:24pm I wanted to fill in the bottom of the paper so as not to waste any.
Permalink Reply by Steven Jackson - Admin on February 13, 2012 at 1:27pm you can still do that through versaworks - if you want it at a different size, simply add it again into the que and then nest the items. the second instance of the file can be re sized independent of the first.
