I'm looking for methods and techniques on how to clean and re-use my Ink Drain Bottle. Does anybody have suggestions or methods they have been using to be able to re-use Ink Drain Bottles?

I think I only actually did the swish once then realized who the heck cares what the bottle looks like and it's just going to get dirty again, not to mention that stuff isn't cheap! I did just take Steve's advice and opened up the cleaning cartridges and sucked up that cleaning fluid with a syringe so I could use it, any savings help!

Check out Steve's new video on changing profiles - we talked to this before - but he made it look user friendly and for all of the VS owners a must since profiles are hard to come by.

Permalink Reply by CB Printer on January 24, 2012 at 10:36am If anyone is concerned about proper disposal, you may want to contact your state or local environmental agency to learn how they require these inks to be disposed of. Some only require you to turn the ink into a solid and dispose (like Kathy has done) but others may require you to treat it more like hazardous waste. If you have a local pickup for hazardous waste, you may want to do that anyhow! I've attached our MSDS for the black eco-sol ink. At our company, we have other hazardous wastes we dispose of, so we include our waste ink with that.
