How long does it take for your heat press to reach....
Just curious, but how long does it take your heat press to reach, let's say...320 degrees?
From off(cold) to 320 degrees?

Hey Joe I had to think about that one. Since I only have me as an employee most times - I am usually printing, weeding, designing, editing, customer contact, ordering, inventoyring, sorting, stacking, eating or a host of other things while that process is occuring, All that I know, what ever it is, it is too long when I am waiting to heat up my sandwich.

Usually no more than 15/20 minutes. The air swinger seems to heat up faster than the clam shell though...

They say the clam's heat escapes due to angle @ Kevin- and please do not make the mistake and use wax paper - that will never happen again.

@ Irv, Good to know about the wax paper!
@ Joseph, ours is probably about 15-18 minutes. It seems like a very long when you're waiting and not long enough when you're not quite prepared. There's nothing more annoying than watching "ready to print" flashing when YOU'RE not ready to print.

Wow it really takes 15mins+ for everyone's heat presses....? Mine heats up to 400 degrees within 5 minutes.....

It's probably non- existent in the USA, but quite a few folks have 'em here in Canada. It's not no hotronix or geoknight that's for sure. It's a clam design that doesn't open up very high, so I'm always burning my knuckles. lol.
It's an ASC365 Style A 15"x15", runs off 110v but have been thinking of wiring it over to 220v.... I bought it 4 years ago for $450, it's now come down in price.... They have other models, that I would go for.... They're located in Ontario

I've done so far t-shirts, sweatshirts and metal plates with it, using Heat Vinyl from Neal @ http://www.flexheattransfervinyl.ca he's located in Ontario too..... I use his heat vinyl exclusively now, it's very good stuff~!
It's a very simple heat press, with manual timer and temp setting gauge...

hotronix 16x20 0-310 in 16 minutes. Yes, I timed it.

Most 110 volt machines take 15-18 mins. to achieve 320-350. Machines set up for 220 will get to temp in 1/2 - 2/3 that time.

Here's my info:
-Hotronix 16x20 Swinger and it takes about 17 mins to get to 320 degrees,
