I've never done any wrapping of any type so I thought I might pull out my motorcycle and play with the gastank and plastics on it.

My question to you who do wrap is..how you you start your layout? Do you use special software, do you have images of the specific vehicle parts(fenders, doors, hoods, etc), do you simpley measure the parts to find the total surface area?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I stopped by a sign shop and they gave me a DVD that Oracal made back in 2007. I watched it last night and it gives a basic overiew of wrapping a car. I have a copy of it on our server if you'd like to see it. It's about 70MB. You can download it and watch it from your PC, or call Oracal and they'll probably send you one. Let me know if the video works, since I haven't tried watching it after creating the avi.

Right click and download the OracalWrap.avi file from here:
