Hi! I'm hiring a variety of artists to design artwork for tshirts and wall graphics that will be cut on our Versacamm. One or two of my artists are fully aware of the Versacamm's perimeters, but the rest aren't. How would I describe what a Versacamm is physically capable of cutting and what it can't cut to an artist. (one is a screenprinter no vinyl experience). For example, for fonts, how small can they go? (no smaller than xyz pt size)? I realize we can't cut most grunge fonts, but what about skinny ones? Any artwork guideline tips you can give me? One thing someone is drawing for me is a ladybug. Can the Versacamm cut out a teeny little ladybug leg drawn no thicker than a line? Sorry, I do the pricing and go out and make sales calls with Mark IV's Versacamm, I don't run it, so I'm not up on the cutting details. Any help you can give is appreciated!
Try making a sample board showing how small you can get. Realistically you can get down to .25" on the lettering but I would never want to weed that small! I would make a few samples ranging in size and maybe mount them to a board to give a physical representation of what you can and cannot do. I would even include items that are too small to show why they are impossible to work with. Also put a very weed intensive design in there to show them how much work it would be.
