I have a customer that wants me to put a logo, or several on some awnings which are 100% acrylic material.. from prior experience I know that regular sign vinyl does not hold up very well over time on awnings cause of the glue and a lot of the time the letters shift or peel. I have run a few samples pieces of awning material threw my heat press and they seem to take the heat very well, I even pressed a piece of white heat press material onto it and it seems to have stuck very well. My question is does anyone know if it is printed will it hold up over any length of time.. or if anyone had any other recommendations?
COULD YOU PUT SOME CLEAR GLASS OR PLASTIC MATERIAL OVER THE TOP OF THE DESIGNS? YOU COULD MIRROR THE IMAGE AND STICK IT TO THE CLEAR MATTERIAL AND THEN SCREW OR ATTACH IT THE THE AWNING!
I would also try the new material Solar Print from Imprintables. It has a lower heat setting and a higher dwell time to get it set and is made for low temperature applications.
