Permalink Reply by brad brondstater on December 27, 2011 at 6:15am I have had alot of issues with the mask sticking to ecoprint. Impritables even sent me different mask and stlll have issues.
I have had good results with the evolutions mask on almost all of the different medias. I could test some of what you have to see if there is something wrong with the batch if you want.
Permalink Reply by William Desrochers on December 29, 2011 at 5:46pm I've been using Quickprint and it's been doing a great job, I don't even use the masking. I peel it off the backing and put a piece of kraft paper over it and press it, peel hot.
Permalink Reply by Butch on December 27, 2011 at 8:23am I've had the same issues with Eco Print and Siser PU. The decal will either not come off the backing or will stretch out of shape. The only thing I have found to remove it cleanly has been rhinestone transfer tape.
Permalink Reply by Israel Lopez on December 27, 2011 at 9:25am I use Express Print from Stahls on a regular basis. I have had the same issues that you are having since Express Print was put on the market. The mask isn't lifting the Express Print from the carrier. The Evolution mask works only sometimes. I was told by Stahls that I needed to purchase the medium tack mask. After purchasing the medium tack mask, I still had the same issue, just not as often. I have also had curling happen after leaving the weeded unmasked-full bleed logos sit overnight. I have tried many other medias in hopes of finding a media that had the same characteristics as the Express Print. The only one I found was Ecoprint from Imprintables. I believe it is the same material, just different name and vendor, thats just my opinion. The remedy for getting the Express print of the carrier I found is to use the "Band-Aid" method. Turn the masked logo upside down and peel the carrier off, not the mask, fast and quick. This has worked for me about 95% of the time. The other 5%, well, you know, the logos were torn. Hope this helps!
Permalink Reply by CYW on December 27, 2011 at 10:01am When I run into those pesky projects that don't release easily, I flip it over like Israel described and rock the backing, back and forth over itself. Keep your rocking as horizontal as possible....don't lift vertically
This method is (obviously) more time consuming but it works. Better than wasting media.
I thought that I shot a quick video with my phone while I was doing this.......but I can't seem to find it now.
Let me check if it's on my old phone, maybe it didn't transfer over?
If I find the video clip, I'll post it later.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday!
Permalink Reply by Butch on December 27, 2011 at 9:52am Here's a trick that I have used with some success. After masking, squeegee with firm pressure from the middle out. Lay the print face down, peel just enough of the backing to be able to get a firm grip. Hold the exposed backing firmly against your work table with one hand the masking in the other and jerk the pieces apart. The faster the better.

Permalink Reply by irving donaldson on December 29, 2011 at 6:13pm I see William you are still using the Northern Practices.
Permalink Reply by William Desrochers on December 30, 2011 at 8:39am I honestly didn't notice a difference in apply with or without the masking. Aside from tripling the speed of production.
Plus they were small 3.5" patches, I did over a hundred and all turned out fine!
Permalink Reply by Eric Adler on January 6, 2012 at 4:53pm Just a follow up...
I received a sample of Eco Print today along with some Evolutions mask from Imprintables. I was able to mask a few prints with no problem. Still need to apply them to a garment to check out the finish.
