Hi all,

I have a customer asking about getting some floor graphics printed up for them. I'm not sure what material to use since the flooring is made of carpet bonded foam since it's a gymnastic floor. It's 1 1/2" of foam covered in a very low pile carpet.

Any recommendations for a long lasting material on this type of flooring?

Thanks,

Joseph

Whoa..whoa...don't everyone answer at once. jk

Any suggestions...anyone?

do u think getting no answers are personal. It is one thing for floor graphics but you want them to go over carpet. So I want you to use colorprint II.  disassemble your heat press and use the dissemble heat press to attach it to the carpet fibers.  Arlon 8000 is some good stuff - you will need an embossed laminate to make it slip resistance.
Joseph to be honest with you we are close to the Carpet Capital of The World and I have never seen a carpet of any type that has a graphic applied with anything but dyed yarn, screen printed or flat bed printed and heat set.  I can't see anything sticking  to carpet for any length of time especially with the amount and type of traffic you would have on a gymnastics floor.

I thought the carpet thing would be tough, but I do see graphics on that thin carpeting at many trade shows. I know those are meant for 2-3 days worth of traffic, but some stay on real nice while others get kicked up and peel up.

Anyways, I always hear that that miracle seramark stuff seams to stick to everything and might work. Anyone stick seramark to their carpet floor?
