Hello All!

Does anyone have any experience of cutting duralar clear material (no backing) 3 or 4 mil?
If so what settings can be used on VersaCamm?

Thanks in Advance,

Yulia

I am not familiar with your material but you cannot contour cut material without a backing on your VC.  You can sheet cut, however. So if you understand that, and that does not work for you - you can mask your material - (giving it a carrier) pick a wall graphic material and do test cuts to get your force settings. If carrier and stencil are clear - error will be had on your VC due to not see the edge - remedy - turn off edge detection under the Menu tab.  Hopes this moves you towards your objective.

If I understand the edge detection feature correctly (and I may not, so correct me if I'm wrong), if you turn it off you'll also want to be sure your base point and media width settings are correct, otherwise things could get messy.
Thanks for reply, Irving,

I just ran some tests... I applied application tape to the material and then bumped up cutting force to up to 200.
It worked perfectly and the stencil by the way was very detailed, from circuit board. Yay!

@Yulia - now you know one of my secrets - it works with home depot canvas too.  Not sure how many more I will be giving away - LOL.

@Mike - you can use custom settings and set your media.  With clear media and clear carrier - there is no other way.  Nothing in life is impossible or perfect for that matter.
