A Digital Printing Network

For some reason unknown to me. my VW doesn's always recognize my cut lines.  I printed all day long and had no problem w/ cutting afterwards.  Tonight I am trying to print and cut and it won't show the cut lines.  Any ideas?

If using Corel Draw, try restarting the computer, then opening the file again in Corel Draw and make sure that the CutContour lines are correct. After that, save the file as something else and try Versaworks again.  If that doesn't work, then you got me.  Good luck!
I am using illustrator. Found this out. I took the text out and away from the graphic that had gradient coloring in it. The cut lines were there then for the machine to recognize.  I would like to contour cut all of this. Going to have to figure out why they won't come in on gradients or as the saves said.....process vs spot colors. Do you think that may have something to do w/ it?
Debbie - spot colors have a lot to do with it.  1st you have to flatten your image in AI.  Next make your swatch, 1pt and a spot color.  Do not convert spot colors to process colors in AI.  You save as an EPS file and import into VW.  If you are using Roland spot color library ensure you have convert spot colors in VW checked - it know which spot colors to change to process colors and which ones are commands to perform action - ie cut - perforated cuts, or input info as in variable data.  The last important point - when you are doing gradients - do not use a spot color library - use the RGB palette or the CMYK but not spot.  So the last thing to confuse you - you can go into your properties tab under color management and select perceptual in the raster area.  Hopes this works for you.
This is artwork provided by the customer and they are very very picky on the coloring. I will give this a try and see what happens. Even tried exporting as a jpg and then adding cut line. Didn't work.
